My Cute Little Pull Throughs
are
colouring book-style pictures with sound strips
that the students colour, cut and pull through
to read. As the student pulls the strip through
the words appear one at a time to read. As the
consonants change the students practice their
letter sounds and blending. Colouring and
cutting practice is built into the cute, fun
format.
2.
My Skinny Sentence
Books are
strip books that the students cut, staple
and flip to read. Both the phonogram and
the sight words are patterned so
repetition helps the students review
consonants, short vowels and learn sight
word vocabulary. They practice oral
reading with the words in context. Even
Grade Ones have no trouble making
them!
