Why did I, Jan McDonald, start Learn-a-lot® Publications?

Having designed hundreds of hands-on activities and booklets for myself and my teaching colleagues for over 25 years, I decided to publish. I wanted to design materials that:

• fulfill the need for comprehensive, sequencial skill development.
• use approved teaching techniques as supported by research.
• are affordable and effective tools that are classroom tested.

For over 25 years Jan has used her reading speciality to teach her studentsthe joy of reading and to create a world of wonder through books.  She believes that every child:
